This is the moment you have all been waiting for! As promised, here is our tentative ride schedule.
Mountain Bike Rides
Cadet Ride: Mondays 6-8 pm
Location: Millennium Park
Description:
Kids and parents are welcome to join us on this trail ride. You will be riding the Rail Trail but also local single track. Distances vary as there are a variety of groups made up by skill level.
What You Need: A mountain bike with gears, a water bottle or hydration pack, snack, and bug spray is a good idea. Helmets are mandatory for all rides
Mountain Bike Trail Ride - Adults
When: Thursdays 6pm
Location: The meeting place for this ride varies as we ride various local trails. Please touch base with us if you are interested.
Description:
A ride for adults looking to ride some intermediate and advanced local single track. This ride meets once a week to ride for 2 hours or more and is an intermediate or advanced level ride.
What You Need: A mountain bike, water bottle or hydration pack, snack. Helmets are mandatory for all rides.
Fitness Ride
When: Thursdays at 6 pm
Location: Millennium Park
Description:
A ride for those new to biking or looking for a more relaxed pace and a bit more of a social component. This ride may involve gravel roads, double track and paved roads. A goal for this group of riders may be participating in the mini-hilly 37km or 100km Hilly routes of the Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred Bicycle Tour in October.
What You Need: A cross bike or mountain bike, water bottle, and a snack. Helmets are mandatory for all rides.
Ride Schedule for Roadies
We are planning two different times for road rides this year.
Saturday Road Ride: 7am
Location: Post Office Parking Lot
Description:
This is a moderately/fast paced ride for adults on road bikes. Distances covered and length of ride vary but can last 3 hours or more.
What You Need: Water, snack, and a road bike. Helmets are mandatory for all rides.
Tuesday Road Ride 5:30pm
Location: Bird’s Creek Public School
Description:
This a moderately/fast paced ride for adults on road bikes. Distances vary and the ride lasts approximately 2 hours.
What You Need: Water, snack, and a road bike. Lights (rear and front) may be helpful as daylight can play a factor in this ride. Helmets are mandatory for all rides.
